Dr. Kelly Carney was born in New York and raised in both North Carolina and Rhode Island. She graduated from Providence College and went on to the University of North Carolina School of Medicine where she met her husband Matt, a family physician. She completed her pediatrics residency at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, followed by a fellowship year at Duke training in the primary care of special needs infants. Dr. Carney joined Raleigh Pediatrics in spring 2019 after several years of practicing in primary care, inpatient, and emergency room settings.
Dr. Carney lives in Apex with her husband and four daughters. She is an avid runner, Tar Heel fan, and Hispanophile who enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
