Pharmaceutical company Sanofi U.S. has issued a voluntary recall of all Auvi-Q (epinephrine auto-injectors) with the lot numbers 2299596 through 3037230 which expire March 2016 through Dec 2016. The recall includes all Auvi-Q currently on the market, and it includes both the 0.15 mg and 0.3 mg strengths. This is for reason of possible inaccurate dosage delivery. Patients who have any of these devices are asked to contact Sanofi at 1-866-726-6340 Monday through Friday 8am-8pm or email at firstname.lastname@example.org for information about how to return their Auvi-Q devices. Information is also available on the Auvi-Q website: https://www.auvi-q.com/. Customers should immediately contact their health care provider for a prescription for an alternate epinephrine auto-injector. Sanofi U.S. will provide reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs incurred for the purchase of new epinephrine auto-injectors with proof-of-purchase.
